Miss Elizabeth
1. Happy Independence Day to those in the US!

2. Possible splitting point for DH? What do you all think?
Just after the snatchers have captured Harry, Ron, and Hermione? Possibly just after the scene at Malfoy Manor?

David Heyman: "Well, I'm not going to tell you what it is, but I do think--I'm sure it's going to be spoiled before it happens--that the end point of the first part of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows"--because we've divided it into two films--is quite surprising and interesting and will generate some interest."

David Yates: "We're here in the forest, we've just finished the scene where Harry, Hermione and Ron are captured by the Snatchers after being chased through the woods. The Snatchers are brutal and scary but they aren't the most intelligent of creatures. They're trying to figure out exactly who it is they've caught."

When asked if about the splitting point:
"Yes, I think we have," he said. "Things can change when you edit, of course, but the idea now is that it will be not long after the sequence that we are filming here today. That's what we're experimenting with. We've had three or four different ideas about where to cut off the seventh film. Traditionally, the movies have ended with a death or a bereavement, some sort of passage or arrival. This time we think we will end with more a cliffhanger. Again, though, that's the thought as of this moment."

4. J.K. Rowling is contributing a story to Kids' Night In 3 to be published on September 28, 2009. I'm looking forward to reading it!! =)

5. I hope Rupert Grint is better now! He apparently had the swine flu...

6. QUESTION: HELP!! What type of fireplace would Malfoy Manor have? Would it be a Victorian type fireplace?? If you can attach a picture or link, that'd be great! Thanks!

7. Another question: Has anyone seen "The Proposal"? Any good?

8. And Sarah Palin...All this speculation and everything. I, honestly, think she just wants out of politics and that she just had enough of all the personal attacks on her and her family. She did say something about people making personal attacks on her son. And I guess she didn't want to seem like she was giving up, so she tried to give it a nice spin on her leaving... and possibly keep her options open for the future. Don't think that nice spin worked though... I mean, if she isn't going to be a "lame duck" and waste money, her Lt. Gov will. She just insulted the guy. Huh.

1) Thanks!!

2) I would imagine it would end after the Snatchers find Harry, Ron and Hermione, but before they escape from Malfoy Manor. That seems like a reasonable place to pause the action.

3) Thanks for posting those earlier...I downloaded them all!

5) I'm glad to hear that Rupert is okay!

6) Not Victorian, but a lot older than that. Something like this: Lucius Malfoy

8) Can't stand Palin, so in my opinion, the less seen of her, the better.

LOL! Fun, isn't it? Just how I'd imagine Lucius Malfoy to rest in between dark revels.

It came out about the same time OotP came out on DVD, so I think it might have had something to do with that. Maybe. I'd seen it before, so I did a search for "Malfoy" and "Wolfhounds" and there it was!

So would there be a mantlepiece, do you think? Would they put photos or objects on display or leave it empty?

Thanks! Just wondering, would the Malfoys put photos or objects on display on the mantlepiece or leave it empty?

These pics are fabulous! Thanks so much. ;)

Can't get into Palin. Just...can't. As for the splitting point, hm...might the Malfoy Manor scene not be a little too late in the book? Unless they condense all the camping scenes into a five minute montage or something. Personally, I'd like some closure. Even though I know it won't be a true cliffy, as we all know what's coming, I'd still prefer them to avoid a cliffhanger ending.

Miss Elizabeth
You're welcome. =)

Hmm...yeah. I dunno. That's what was reported, but like Yates said, they could probably change it again if they have 3 or 4 proposed. Though I can see why they would want a cliffhanger since all the other HP movie endings were sort of sad/someone died.
